Les autorit\u00e9s irlandaises ont approuv\u00e9 mardi pour la premi\u00e8re fois la nomination d’une ambassadrice palestinienne dans le pays, apr\u00e8s avoir reconnu l’Etat de Palestine au printemps dernier. Selon des sources gouvernementales, Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid, une diplomate actuellement cheffe de la mission de Palestine en Irlande, va occuper ce nouveau poste. Fin mai, l’Irlande, l’Espagne et la Norv\u00e8ge ont officiellement reconnu l’Etat \u00ab\u00a0souverain et ind\u00e9pendant\u00a0\u00bb de Palestine dans le but d’avancer, selon eux, vers la paix au Proche-Orient. Une semaine plus tard, la Slov\u00e9nie a, elle aussi, franchi le pas. Le 29 septembre, des relations diplomatiques ont formellement \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tablies entre l’Irlande et la Palestine. Quelques semaines plus tard, le 17 octobre, le gouvernement palestinien de Mohammed Mustafa a officiellement notifi\u00e9 \u00e0 Dublin son intention de faire \u00e9voluer sa repr\u00e9sentation diplomatique en Irlande d’une mission \u00e0 une ambassade. Ce changement permettra au personnel de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de toute la gamme des privil\u00e8ges et immunit\u00e9s applicables, en vertu de la Convention de Vienne de 1961 qui garantit la protection des diplomates.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
