Le tableau le plus cher jamais vendu aux ench\u00e8res demeure le \u00ab\u00a0Salvator Mundi\u00a0\u00bb, attribu\u00e9 \u00e0 L\u00e9onard de Vinci, vendu 450 millions de dollars en 2017. Six acheteurs se sont disput\u00e9 pendant 20 minutes \u00ab\u00a0Le portrait d’Elisabeth Lederer\u00a0\u00bb (1914-1916), estim\u00e9 \u00e0 150 millions de dollars, qui repr\u00e9sente la fille du principal m\u00e9c\u00e8ne du peintre dans une robe imp\u00e9riale chinoise blanche, devant une tapisserie bleue aux motifs d’inspiration asiatique.
Sotheby’s n’avait pas d\u00e9voil\u00e9 le nom de l’acqu\u00e9reur dans l’imm\u00e9diat. A l’instar du \u00ab\u00a0Portrait d’Elisabeth Lederer\u00a0\u00bb, les grands portraits en pied r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par Gustav Klimt pendant sa p\u00e9riode phare (entre 1912 et 1917) sont \u00ab\u00a0extr\u00eamement rares\u00a0\u00bb, explique Sotheby’s dans un communiqu\u00e9. La plupart font partie des collections des grands mus\u00e9es, tr\u00e8s peu sont d\u00e9tenus par des collectionneurs priv\u00e9s.
