L’Agence nationale pour la valorisation des ressources en hydrocarbures (Alnaft) et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9ricaine Chevron ont sign\u00e9, mercredi \u00e0 Alger, un accord de r\u00e9alisation d’une \u00e9tude sur le potentiel des ressources en hydrocarbures en offshore sur les c\u00f4tes alg\u00e9riennes. <\/strong>
L’accord a \u00e9t\u00e9 sign\u00e9, du c\u00f4t\u00e9 alg\u00e9rien, par le pr\u00e9sident d’Alnaft, Mourad Beldjehem, et pour la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0Chevron North Africa Ventures Ltd\u00a0\u00bb par le directeur des nouveaux projets mondiaux, Luca Rigo de Righi, et ce sous la supervision du ministre d’Etat, ministre de l’Energie, des Mines et des Energies renouvelables, Mohamed Arkab, en pr\u00e9sence du Pr\u00e9sident-directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral (PDG) de Sonatrach, Rachid Hachichi, ainsi que de cadres du minist\u00e8re, d’Alnaft et de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9ricaine. S’\u00e9talant sur une dur\u00e9e de 24 mois, cet accord a, pour objet, de r\u00e9aliser une \u00e9tude approfondie d’\u00e9valuation des ressources p\u00e9troli\u00e8res en offshore alg\u00e9rien et constitue une \u00e9tape strat\u00e9gique pour renforcer la coop\u00e9ration entre l’Alg\u00e9rie et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Chevron dans le domaine des \u00e9tudes techniques et g\u00e9ologiques, \u00e0 m\u00eame d’ouvrir la voie \u00e0 des projets d’exploration et de d\u00e9veloppement visant \u00e0 valoriser les ressources nationales en hydrocarbures. Dans son allocution \u00e0 cette occasion, M. Beldjehem a mis en avant l’importance de ce partenariat entre Alnaft et Chevron, estimant que l’accord \u00ab\u00a0fait partie des efforts de l’agence Alnaft en vue d’attirer des investissements de qualit\u00e9 et de renforcer les capacit\u00e9s techniques dans le domaine de l’exploration en mer\u00a0\u00bb. Le m\u00eame responsable s’est dit confiant que le partenariat avec Chevron contribuera \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser de nouvelles d\u00e9couvertes et \u00e0 conforter la place de l’Alg\u00e9rie comme destination phare pour les investissements \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques, notamment en offshore, \u00ab\u00a0rev\u00eatant d\u00e9sormais une importance strat\u00e9gique pour notre pays\u00a0\u00bb. Les \u00e9tudes qui seront r\u00e9alis\u00e9es sont une \u00e9tape essentielle pour une meilleure connaissance des ressources en hydrocarbures offshore et la prospection de l’avenir du secteur \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique en Alg\u00e9rie, a estim\u00e9 M. Beldjehem, pour qui, il est n\u00e9cessaire \u00ab\u00a0de prioriser les projets qui accordent une importance aux normes environnementales\u00a0\u00bb. Dans une d\u00e9claration \u00e0 la presse, le pr\u00e9sident d’Alnaft a indiqu\u00e9 que compte tenu de la profondeur de l’offshore alg\u00e9rien, Chevron qui est l’une des plus grandes soci\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques dans le monde, a \u00e9t\u00e9 choisie pour proc\u00e9der \u00e0 la prospection des hydrocarbures. Apr\u00e8s avoir rappel\u00e9 qu’il s’agit de la 3e \u00e9tude qui sera r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en offshore alg\u00e9rien, l’intervenant a fait \u00e9tat du renouvellement du permis de prospection offshore qu’Alnaft a octroy\u00e9, il y a deux ann\u00e9es, \u00e0 Sonatrach et \u00e0 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Eni, jusqu’\u00e0 ao\u00fbt 2025. Pour sa part, M.
